Date with Daddy

Princess Tatum and her handsome date!

Charlie planned a special date with Tatum to go see Beauty and The Beast at the Citadel downtown. She absolutely loved it! She dressed up in a Belle dress with crown and matching shoes and couldn't be happier. A little boy at the show about her age asked if he could have his picture taken with her and she said "no". She told Charlie she didn't want her picture taken with some boy she didn't even know. Good girl Tatum. :) Poor kid, already shut down at 5 years old! What a great daddy daughter date.

Family Week :)

He didn't want to blow out the candles...
so he gets a little help from his big brother!

They may be a little crazy!
Meeting Uncle Jon...
it's going well.

Just makin some calls on Grandma's phone.

So, it's been a great week for me to see alot of my family. Kenzie brought her baby down last Monday and Mom & Dad came up the next day. We all met Jon at the airport Thursday, he had a layover here on his way home from business in Regina. Lucky me. :) Mom & Dad headed back on Friday and I dropped Kenz off at the airport today. It was really good to see everybody. We had a birthday celebration on Thursday with some classic DQ cake - always good. Now we're anxiously awaiting Charlie's return tomorrow night, he's been operating in Equador the last 10 days.

Fall is way too far away!

So, I'm thinking the school doing their kindergarten orientation in February - maybe not so smart. Everyday, several times a day, Tatum wants to know "why can't I go to school" or "when is the fall? Fall is way too far away!" Oh my. I think I need to call the school with a few suggestions for their next year's kindergarten orientation - mostly cuz I'm so helpful like that! Okay, so I'm not going to call them BUT fall really is way too far away!

Let's Do This Again!

Tatum
Mason
Sam

So, it feels like I'm starting this whole blog thing over again! I started a photography blog that I was putting my family update on and decided to separate the two. So, now I have a family blog and a photography blog......that's alot for one technologically challenged girl, but I think it's workin out and I THINK I've got it sorted!! This one is obviously for family updates and YES still lots of pics, whereas the other will post photos and comments on the most recent shoots. All clear - great. :)

Here we go!

We have just recently moved out to Spruce Grove from Edmonton and are really enjoying the people and community here. Mason is doing well in Grade 2 and has made alot of new good friends. Tatum will head into kindergarten this fall and it cannot come soon enough, seriously. We had kindergarten orientation tonight and a little girl named Emily latched onto her (literally) and they were two peas in a pod the whole night. Very similar personalities - social, not too shy, loved the crafts they made together and very giggly! Sam is what I like to call my little "neck leech" right now. He has this infatuation with touching my neck and it's really not so cute to me. I keep telling myself he will grow out of it and try to explain mommy doesn't like it when you touch my neck all the time. He comes back with things like "yes, you do mommy, see it's nice." Deep breaths. Charlie is doing fabulous, he's just wrappin up his PHD and will jump back into residency the first of July. Him and Mason have got in some good skiing days this season, since Mason has really taken to it this year. He was soooo excited because we went to Jasper last weekend and he got to "ski on a mountain!" Charlie is pretty pumped about this new passion of Mason's apparently he has no fear on the hill - look out. And as for me - well, obviously with the separate photography blog, I am getting busier with that. Now that my baby is turning 3 I feel like I can put more time into it. :) It's going to be a very exciting year, 2008 has alot in store for our family and I'll try to keep you updated as we go!!

Later Aligator!
