Okay, so yeah. Weird I didn't post Day 2 of our vacation immediately....Day 2 was LEGOLAND!!! We got up and went out for some IHOP breakfast and then made our way to Carlsbad California for some Legoland fun!
I'm glad we only spent half a day there, that was enough for me. Now we can check it off the list because we took Chase, and we have all officially BEEN THERE! It is a fun little park, but you really CAN NOT go there after you have done Disney - words of advice! They had some new parts of the park that we didn't see last time we went so we checked it all out.
The best part was the ship ride where the people on land get to soak the people on the ride! There is no where to escape and you don't really know that is going to happen to you if you enter on the far side of the attraction! IT WAS HILARIOUS!! Ladies with perfect hair for park day with the family were getting drenched! These 2 brothers (that were about mid 30's) were manning 2 of the guns and they were killing themselves laughing, it was great. Some of the ladies were begging them not to squirt them and that made it worse for themselves! Hahahaha!
After the park closed we headed to La Jolla to our hotel and drove around looking for a place to have supper. We found a pizza place called BJ's Pizza and it was DEELISH. So yummy, good pick for sure. Fill full tummies we went back to the hotel for a good nights sleep. I love Southern California. It was so warm at night.
The next morning we had the free breaky at the hotel and then were off to SEA WORLD! It was a really fun day. We sat in the "soak zone" and did indeed get soaked with not so tasty Shamu water.....Ew. Chase freaked out when Charlie used him and I as a human shield from the wave of salt water. Nice. The kids favorite part was the Atlantis ride, a rollercoaster where you get a little wet. On our way back to the hotel we stopped at La Jolla beach to see the Sea Lions on the beach! Pretty cool. The kids did not want to leave but it was getting dark. Back to the hotel to change and then...back to BJ's Pizza. Yeah, we really liked it.
I have NO idea why but I can't seem to upload pics from my computer right now and that would make this post so much more exciting.....weird. I will try to figure it out and hopefully get some eye candy up here ASAP. The next day was our Color Run and I really need to post pics for that one!!
