Hey guys! Just thought I would jump on here and pretend I blog and stuff! Sooooo, we just had a fun little holiday as a family in Southern California as I am sure you may have seen evidence of on my FB wall. I'm going to break this up into days of our trip because there are alot of pics and things to be said!
Day one was Halloween! We left on the 31st at 4am and headed to the airport and landed at LAX at 11am. Chase was SO excited to ride on an airplane, he LOVED it! Well, after he had a nap on the first flight anyway! The Mickey's Halloween Party started at 3 in Disneyland so we had just enough time to get our rental car (sweet Dodge Town and Country, somehow I got Charlie to drive....), have lunch, get costumes on and head to the PARTAY! I have to say that yes, my kids love Disneyland but I may love it the most. I walk in and just feel super happy.
What a fun way to spend Halloween, tons of kids dressed up and strict rules on gory/violent costumes so everyone was happy! They gave us treat bags and a map of all the candy stations throughout the park. So we headed in and made our way through trick or treating and riding the rides! At 9:30pm they had the Spooky Fireworks and made the Disney castle look all spooky with shadows and green lights, it was great. There were hardly any line ups for rides because they kicked everyone else out of the park at 6pm that didn't have a special wristband for the party - dont get me wrong there were still lots of people but not nearly as many as there were earlier in the day! I wished that Charlie and I had dressed up because most of the adults/family themes were. There was also a Spooky Parade that night and the regular Disney Characters were dressed up and they had alot of the Villians in it too. By the time the fireworks were over our little family was done like dinner! I couldn't believe they lasted that long after the early start we had - running off Disney excitement! So we headed back to the hotel for the night around 10pm.
